Economic value of tea seeds:

1.For oil extraction

The oil content of tea seed kernel is about 30-45%, the oil yield is about 28%, and the unsaturated acid in the oil reaches 90%, so it is widely used in oil production.

2. As feed

The nutritional value of the oil cake after oil extraction is high, but a harmful substance in the tea seed oil cake is hemolytic saponin, which is not absorbed by animals, and has a bitter and spicy taste, so it must be "detoxified" before being used as feed.

3. Other uses

Tea seed husks can be used as fuel in many places. In addition to being used as feed, oi cakes can also be used as farmland fertilizers.
