Palm oil is a type of vegetable oil that can partially replace other oils, such as soybean oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, lard and butter.  Due to the interrelationship between palm oil and various kinds of oils, the price of palm oil also fluctuates with the general world oil prices. Meanwhile, the fluctuation range of palm oil price is also very large.  

The oil palm originated in West Africa.  Industrial palm oil is red and is extracted from the bark of a palm, while palm kernel oil is white and is extracted from the inner core.  The production process of palm oil and palm kernel oil is complex. Mainly through the following processes: sterilization, refining, bleaching and deodorization.  

Palm oil contains unsaturated fatty acids, which can play a role in lowering cholesterol, promoting the elimination of cholesterol from the body and preventing the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases; it contains palmitic acid, which can also hinder the absorption of saturated fatty acids and play a role in weight loss; it also contains a variety of vitamins and carotenoids, which can improve the immunity of the body and can prevent and inhibit the production and growth of cancer cells with long-term intake.

The usual way to extract palm oil is to use a palm oil press. Due to the special properties of palm, the process of pressing palm is more complicated compared to other raw materials.
