Comparison of two types of hydraulic and screw oil presses

Hydraulic oil presses are suitable for scattered oils, with clear oil but low oil yield, small output, and large equipment investment; screw oil presses are suitable for oil crops, with high oil yield, simple structure, and strong processing capacity, but the oil has high phospholipid content and needs to be filtered. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Hydraulic and screw oil presses have advantages and disadvantages. Hydraulic oil presses are suitable for scattered oils such as cocoa beans, olive oil, sesame, and walnuts, while screw oil presses are suitable for oil crops such as soybeans, peanuts, and rapeseed.

Advantages of screw oil presses:

Since the screw oil press uses three or four stages of pressing, the oil yield is higher than that of the hydraulic oil press.

Additionally, the screw oil press has a simple mechanical structure, low equipment investment, high processing capacity, and is not prone to failure.

One device can process granular oils such as rapeseed, soybeans, peanuts, cottonseed, and tea seeds.

Disadvantages of the screw oil press:

It belongs to dynamic pressure friction oil extraction, so the oil product has a high phospholipid content and is not very clear.

The oil must be finely filtered with a centrifugal oil filter before use.

Advantages of the hydraulic oil press:

Also called a hydraulic sesame oil press, it combines the traditional oil pressing principle with modern technology.

Compared with ordinary oil presses, it has high efficiency, environmental protection, and energy-saving characteristics, high product added value, no loss, no noise, and no need for heating required for physical pressing.

No chemical raw materials are added, it is easy to operate, has no wearing parts, and has a long service life.

The biggest advantage of the hydraulic oil press is that the pressure of the equipment is static, the mechanical friction of the oil is very small, the squeezed oil is very clear, and it can be eaten directly without any treatment, which is convenient and labor-saving.

Disadvantages of the hydraulic oil press:

The oil yield is relatively low.

The single function output is small.

The workload of the oil pressing process is large, and it requires crushing, steaming, frying, and wrapping.

The equipment investment is large and the output is small.
