How to differentiate between cold pressed coconut oil, hot pressed coconut oil and extracted coconut oil

 

1. Look at the sedimentation. There is usually sedimentation at the bottom of the squeezed coconut oil bottle, but no leaching.

 

Second, look at the wall hanging situation. The pressed oil has high concentration and viscosity and is easy to hang on the wall. Leached oil, due to its high-water content, is not easy to hang on the wall and is very thin.

3. Look at the color. The extracted oil is generally colorless. (Except for those that have not been decolorized) hot-pressed coconut oil is darker in color, from light yellow to deep yellow, while cold-pressed coconut oil is colorless.

 

4. Smell the smell, put a drop of vegetable oil on the back of your hand, rub it evenly, and smell the smell carefully. Coconut oil extracted from coconut oil is generally odorless, or it may have a lot of strange smells, such as gasoline, kerosene, or spicy smell. (It does not exclude decolorized gutter oil.) Hot-pressed coconut oil only has the burnt and oily smell of fried oil. Cold-pressed coconut oil has a unique and rich coconut aroma.

5. Look at the pot effect. Cold-pressed coconut oil has a sudden richness and is easily absorbed by vegetables. Therefore, cold-pressed coconut oil can be used to stir-fry a lot of vegetables with very little oil. Hot-pressed coconut oil is not easily absorbed by vegetables. There is a sudden decrease in coconut oil when infused.

 

Cold pressing and hot pressing of coconut oil. Fresh coconut meat is very suitable for cold pressing. Use a hydraulic oil press to press at room temperature to obtain higher quality cold pressed oil. After simple filtration, you can obtain the finished oil. Considering the better-quality users can equip it with a pure physical low-temperature refining section and purchase oil refining equipment, which can refine coconut oil to oil standards and have higher edible value.
