Tea Seed Oil Press
Tea seed oil, as a unique woody plant oil in China, is rich in nutrients and can be compared to olive oil. It not only has abundant nutritional value but also has high beauty and health benefits. In recent years, consumers have been demanding higher nutritional and health requirements for edible oils, and tea seed oil has gradually become one of the popular and hot-selling niche edible oils in the market, favored by consumers. As a result, the sales market for tea oil has become increasingly sufficient, and tea seed oil processing projects have also become increasingly popular.
Step 1: Material selection and cleaning
High-quality oilseeds are the foundation for pressing healthy tea seed oil, and material selection is also a skill. During the material selection process, we try to choose tea seeds that are plump, without dryness, breakage, or mold. Tea seeds of this kind will yield better oil, which will significantly improve the quality of the oil. Afterward, the tea seeds are cleaned to remove impurities such as stones, stalks, and dirt, to maintain the quality of the oilseeds and improve the pressing efficiency.
Step 2: Husking and crushing
The next step is husking the tea seeds. Tea seeds have outer shells that need to be removed using professional husking equipment. Husking facilitates subsequent processes such as steaming and stir-frying, making the pressing process smoother and more efficient. After husking, the tea seeds are crushed to increase their surface area, which is beneficial for the transfer of temperature and moisture during softening.
Step 3: Steaming and roasting
Steaming and roasting are the hallmarks of the hot-pressing process. Steaming and roasting control the temperature and moisture of the oilseeds. The purpose is to condense the oil and create conditions to improve the oil yield. It also adjusts the organization and structure of the oilseeds. With the help of moisture and temperature, the plasticity and elasticity of the oilseeds meet the requirements for pressing, resulting in tea seed oil with a more aromatic taste.
Step 4: Pressing
After the aforementioned pre-processing, the tea seed oilseeds enter the oil press to extract the oil, which then goes through a plate and frame filter to remove solid impurities. The advanced level of the oil press equipment and the pre-processing procedures for tea seed oilseeds both affect the oil extraction efficiency and pressing efficiency. The obtained tea seed oil at this stage is not yet the finished product, as it still needs to undergo refining processes to remove impurities from the oil.
