Pressed sesame oil is extracted by applying mechanical force to squeeze out the oil from the oilseeds. There are two types of pressing methods according to the equipment used: screw pressing and hydraulic pressing. In the process of pressing sesame oil with a screw oil press machine, the sesame seeds are first roasted at around 170 degrees Celsius, then they are added to the preheated oil press machine for pressing. The crude oil obtained from pressing is filtered through filtering equipment and naturally settled for about a week to become the finished sesame oil.
