Types of Refinement

1. Simple refining.

Items treated: dephosphorisation, de-acidification, dewatering

2. Complete refining.

Items treated: dephosphorisation, de-acidification, dewatering, decolourisation, deodorisation

Strengths of Mcrayone Refining:

1. Dehydration tank: tank thickness of at least 4mm, high temperature, high vacuum dehydration, 100-120 degrees

2.Decolorization / deodorization tank: equipped with high quality Roots vacuum pump, more thorough decolorization and deodorization.

(There are low-cost water ring pumps on the market, the time is 2-3 times of Roots pump, deodorization effect is not good)

3.Decolorization tank: 105-130 degrees decolorization, can be designed to cycle decolorization, more thorough

4.Deodorization tank: 240-260 degrees steam deodorization, tank thickness at least 5mm, high vacuum, short time, more economical electricity.

5.Automatic slag removal filtration system instead of regular plate frame filter, longer service life and better treatment effect

Lab Materials required:

1.Dephosphorization and deacidification process:

Sodium hydroxide or food grade phosphoric acid (85% concentration)

Testing: 280 degree heating test

Standard: no precipitates, relatively clear color

The oil obtained after simple or complete refining of palm kernel/palm fruit oil is called refined oil and contains both hard and soft fats. Thus, the refined palm oil can be further fractionated and processed to obtain stearin oil, fatty acid oil for different applications, depending on the set temperature.
